Election 2009

Kids Voting offers year-round opportunities to learn about elections and to get involved in political life. Each general election in November, Kids Voting provides every Mecklenburg County student the opportunity to cast practice ballots in real elections. Students in kindergarten through high school may participate in a variety of ways, including:

Standards-based classroom activities are available to help engage students in elections (and other areas of civic education) while supporting academic achievement.

Election 2008

75,000 Mecklenburg County kids voted in Election 2008. There is more Election 2008 learning ahead as we follow the transition to President-elect Obama and the inauguration!

On the Kids Voting ballot in 2008:
