- Attend a political party meeting
- Get to know your government officials
- Start a blog about political issues
- Visit a government meeting - just to watch or sign up to speak about an
issue that matters to you. You can also follow government proceedings on TV and
online.
- Email or write a letter to local leaders about an issue you have identified
- and make sure to suggest a great solution
- Become a regular reader of the
Charlotte Observer and follow the news in other local media
- Ask your teacher to plan time each week for student discussion about
politics, government and current events
- Talk about government and politics at home - encourage your parents to learn
about what's going on, too
- Contact Kids Voting to suggest more ideas. Just email
info@kidsvoting.org with your idea, plus your name, grade and school and we
will post it here!
