Kids Voting Mecklenburg is now GenerationNation!  The education-focused nonprofit changed its name in December 2011 to better reflect the wide range of educational tools and learning opportunities it provides, and envisions, to positively impact K-12 students and the Charlotte area. We're making a public announcement in January 2012.

Programs educate and engage students in government, leadership and civic life. Current initiatives include K-12 civic education, teacher training, Youth Civics, Youth Voice and the highly successful Kids Voting Mecklenburg election.

Some pages on this website are under construction while we get ready for 2012 and move program content to www.generationnation.org

 YOUTH LEADERSHIP ALLIANCE/MECKLENBURG YOUTH VOICE

star Make a difference at school and in the community

Are you interested in the community? Serve in a leadership role or want to develop leadership skills? Want to make a difference on school and community issues that impact youth?

Join Charlotte's youth leaders

All high school students are invited to participate in the Youth Leadership Alliance, Mecklenburg's Youth Voice. Our goal is participation from 100% of area high schools. Make sure that you and your school are represented!

The program is part of GenerationNation, a nonprofit K-12 education organization that partners with schools, youth programs and governments to educate students, raise citizens and build leaders. Prior to December 2011, the organization was named Kids Voting Mecklenburg.
