Election Experience :: Voting Sites

During Election Experience 2010, students may vote at any Kids Voting station. Early voting sites will also be open prior to Election Day on the early voting dates and times based on the Board of Elections schedule.

Locations

Check out the tables below of Election 2009 voting sites. This should give you a good idea about where precincts (voting places) are located.

Kids Voting sites are located within adult voting precincts. Sites are selected by the Board of Elections. Because of NC election law, Kids Voting is allowed to be in the same area as adult voting, space permitting.

Volunteer Information

Kids Voting is recruiting volunteers to staff Kids Voting booths for Election 2010. Check the Community Service page for details about being a captain. Training, instructions and materials are provided free of charge. This is a great way to serve the community and be involved in elections!

  • Election Day captains can earn up to 10 hours
  • Early Voting captains and co-captains can earn up to 30 hours
  • Volunteers who work a shift for a captain can earn the hours they volunteer

VOTING SITES FOR ELECTION EXPERIENCE 2010

Kids Voting booths will be open in over 100 sites in Charlotte, Cornelius, Davidson, Huntersville, Matthews, Mint Hill and Pineville through early voting, Election Day and online/absentee voting. Find a site near you! Students may volunteer and vote at any Kids Voting site, and it does not matter if their parents vote there.
