Kids Voting :: Champions for Democracy

Investing time and resources in education, youth and the community

Kids Voting's Champions support education, youth and the civic life of the community. Thanks to the support of partners, schools, business leaders, teachers, parents, governments, youth programs and public officials, Kids Voting impacts everyone in the Charlotte area!

You should get involved or involve your organization in Kids Voting if you…

  • Are committed to the civic life of the community and its engaged citizens
  • Are committed to quality K-12 education in school and outside of school
  • Want to help close achievement and opportunity gaps for at-risk students
  • Want to build the community's social capital
  • Want to be involved in politics without it being "political"
  • Want to join other civic leaders
  • Want to show public officials that you care about an informed citizenry

Volunteer
Over 2,500 local volunteers contribute approximately 18,000 hours annually

Support the Kids Voting Representative at your favorite school
Kids Voting partners with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and many non-public schools to support civic education and civic learning opportunities for grades K-12

  • Appreciate their efforts
  • Lend a hand
  • Help ensure that your school is maximizing its participation in Kids Voting's free programming

Contribute financial or inkind resources to Kids Voting
Through an efficient and effective annual investment of about $1 per student, K-12 students benefit from Kids Voting's comprehensive civic education programming and learning opportunities. We are grateful for your contributions. Please contact Executive Director Amy Farrell (704-343-6999 or info@kidsvoting.org) with questions or to learn more about resources needed by Kids Voting.
